Well, THAT was fun!
The Cubs spotted the Cardinals a 2-0 lead, then smashed six home runs on their way to a convincing 8-3 win over St. Louis, a great way to end the season’s first “half,” even though they still stand four games under .500. (47-51, exactly where they stood last year after 98 games.)
The Cardinals scored a pair off Jameson Taillon in the second inning and then the Cubs bats got to work.
With one out in the third, Pete Crow-Armstrong hit his second homer of the year [VIDEO].
