OSS: The Jason Heyward Game?
Three up:
- Jason Heyward hit a bottom of the ninth, two out walkoff grand slam to give the Cubs the Inverted M. It was worth a whopping .821 WPA, and I feel like it’s safe to say that it is the biggest WPA swing by the Cubs this year.
- Jose Quintana had a great outing, striking out ten in 5.2 innings and allowing just three hits. He started to lose the handle a bit in the sixth inning which led to Joe yanking him, but I thought Joe’s hook was a little too quick this time around.
