Cubs 7, Nationals 6: A little less drama, please

The Cubs have won four straight and seven of eight after defeating the Nationals 7-6 Friday evening... but Cubs’ fans collective hearts were probably beating pretty fast after a high-wire act in the ninth inning.

Whew.

Let’s rewind to the beginning.

Shu014dta Imanaga got touched up for a pair of runs in the bottom of the first inning on a two-run double by José Tena (and like you, I had barely heard of some of these Nats). After that, the Cubs offense got right to work in the second inning.

Isaac Paredes and Nico Hoerner led off with singles and another single by Dansby Swanson scored Paredes [VIDEO].
