Cubs 6, Giants 5: The Professor was magnificent...

You know, it wasn’t the grand slam hit by Jorge Soler in the eighth that brought the Giants within one run that pissed me off.

No, it was the walks by Mark Leiter Jr. that loaded the bases for Soler. Leiter was ahead of all the hitters in the inning! Why doesn’t he have a put-away out pitch?

Sigh. I suppose I should be happy, the Cubs won the game 6-5 and won a home series of more than two games for the first time since early May (and the first three-game series win at all since mid-May in Pittsburgh), but good heavens they are not making this easy.
