OSS: Yan Gomes, Clutch God
Three up:
- Yan Gomes was a clutch machine today, knocking in an insurance run in the sixth, followed up by a two-run go-ahead single in the top of the ninth. It’s his twelfth season in the majors, and he’s putting up his best WPA number by far in his career.
- Jordan Wicks had yet another solid start, allowing one run in six innings. A start at Coors is always a rough draw for a rookie but he just keeps cruising. Of the three hits he allowed, two were infield singles.
