Yet another rain delay hit Wrigley Field Friday afternoon, the second of this homestand.
This time, play didn’t begin until after the delay, and the result was better than on the previous rain day last Sunday. Colin Rea and four relievers combined on a five-hit shutout and the Cubs got just enough offense to defeat the Phillies 4-0. It was the Cubs’ third shutout win of the season.
