Chase Field has been a house of pain for the Cubs over the years. Before Monday night’s 3-2, 11-inning Cubs win over the Diamondbacks, it had been nearly two years since the Cubs won in Phoenix. That might not seem so long ago, but in that May 2022 game, Rafael Ortega, Frank Schwindel, Jonathan Villar and Ildemaro Vargas were in the starting lineup.
Personally, I like this year’s version of the Chicago Cubs better. A lot better.
