Just when you thought the Cubs might never score a run again, Nico Hoerner decided to take matters into his own hands.
His double in the ninth started a game-tying rally. And with the bases loaded in the 10th, Nico drew a walk, winning the game 2-1.
Early on, the story was Shu014dta Imanaga, who began the game by striking out the side in the first inning on just 11 pitches. While he hit a batter in the second and issued a walk in the fourth, Imanaga took a no-hit bid into the top of the sixth, when a bouncing ball by longtime Cubs nemesis Randal Grichuk made it into center field for the D-backs’ first hit.
