OSS: The sleepers have awakened
Three up:
- The Cubs offense finally burst out of its shell today, and it was Willson Contreras who set the tone. He started the scoring with a solo shot in the first inning, and hit another shot in his next plate appearance.
- Kris Bryant also had a multi-homer day, and now has more home runs in 2021 than he had in all of 2020.
- The last of the Cubs six (!!) homers on the day were cranked by Javier Baez and David Bote.
