Jeepers! I got tired of waiting for the Daily Herald to load and walked up to Circle K for a Polar Pop. It’s a block and a half away — not a long distance, but when I got back, the site was still trying to load. That’s ridiculous. Back when I used to do web design, the idea was to have the page load in less than a second. The Trib is almost as bad, so bloated with adware that it loads up in geological epochs (this is why there’s only a couple of articles today). And I subscribe to that one, since they offered me the student rate.
