Last year, I spent the summer and early fall as one of the last true believers that Kyle Schwarber would return from him knee injury to play again in 2016.
When he was in the lineup for Game 1 of the World Series, I strained my right rotator cuff patting myself on the back. I thought my days of talking Cubs fans off the ledge about Schwarber were over. Given the reaction to his current slump, and the cries to take him out of the leadoff spot, or even start platooning him in left field, apparently, my work is just beginning.
