Craig Sager finally has his big day at Wrigley

As a kid growing up in Batavia, Ill., Craig Sager asked for a trip to Wrigley Field for his birthday every year. This year, the Cubs gave him that gift and more just a few weeks shy of his 65th birthday.

Sager, the longtime TNT basketball reporter who is battling leukemia, threw out the ceremonial first pitch and sang the seventh inning stretch at Wrigley Field on Wednesday as part of the Cubs’ “Conquer Cancer Day.” Sager brought 31 family members, friends and Northwestern University fraternity brothers along with him.
