Chris Coghlan’s bat brings air show to the South Side in 6-5 win

With Chicago baseball legends Ernie Banks and Minnie Minoso being remembered on the South Side, Cubs outfielder Chris Coghlan launched two home run’s off Jeff Samardzija to help extend his team’s winning streak to eight games in the 6-5 victory at U.S. Cellular Field.

It was a difficult day for both starting pitchers, but Samardzija would end up being the one picking up the loss when it was all said and done. Dexter Fowler continued to swing a hot bat with his sixth triple of the season to lead-off the first inning.
