Chicago has seen three championship parades in the last six years, but it’s safe to say that the one that will take place on Friday will trump them all.
On a mild, sunny day in November, millions of people will gather to watch as the World Series champion Cubs are celebrated in a parade and rally on Friday afternoon.
“The City of Chicago could not be more proud of the Cubs, and we are going to throw them — and their fans — a celebration worthy of the history the team made last night,” Mayor Emanuel, who was at Game 7 in Cleveland, said.
