At the opening ceremony for this year’s Cubs Convention, Chicago Cubs owner Tom Ricketts began his remarks by reminding fans of their accomplished goals for the team from the past 10 years. Those goals included: winning a championship, fixing Wrigley Field and its surrounding area and last, to be more involved in the community.
Ricketts then transitioned to the plan for the Cubs over the next decade. One of the first goals for the next decade Ricketts explained to the crowd, was to get the new Marquee Sports Network up and running. The crowd began booing as soon as they heard Ricketts mention Marquee.
