It’s hard to put together a more complete season than the Chicago Cubs did in 2016.
103 regular-season wins. The organization’s first National League Central Division crown since 2008, first NL pennant since 1945 and first World Series title since 1908 made everyone on that roster Cubs legends.
The dust has settled, however, and a season begins anew. Still heavy favorites to with the pennant, Chicago is hard at work preparing for another championship chase in 2017.
Arguably the biggest part of this team’s success last season consisted of the starting infielders.
Bryant followed up his 2015 National League Rookie of the Year honors with an NL MVP Award, leading the team with 39 long-balls.
