The Cubs fell behind 4-0 for a second consecutive game on Sunday but there was no repeat of Saturday’s comeback effort and the Reds went on to win fairly easily. Chicago has now dropped six series in a row and there seems to be no end in sight to their slide.
Ben Brown was not as sharp as he was against the Brewers and ran into an issue in the top of the 2nd inning. Jonathan India hit a sacrifice fly but the big blow came later in the frame when TJ Friedl lined three-run homer just over the right field wall to put Cincinnati ahead by four.
