Chicago Cubs Score and Recap (4/1/25): Cubs 7, Athletics 4 – Tucker Homers for Fourth Consecutive Game

The Cubs went into this one riding the momentum of Monday night’s 18-run outburst and they did not disappoint. While they didn’t quite match the output of the series opener, they got more than enough to take the game and the series.

The North Siders jumped ahead of the A’s in the 1st inning when Seiya Suzuki absolutely crushed a three-run homer to dead center off of Luis Severino. The home team responded immediately in the bottom of the frame when Brent Rooker took Justin Steele out of the park for a two-run shot to make it a 3-2 score.
