Chicago Cubs Score and Recap (3/8/25): Cubs 9, Mariners 8 – PCA Slams Mariners

The Cubs put on a power display against the Mariners at Sloan Park Saturday afternoon. Chicago hitters blasted four home runs, including two of the bat of Pete Crow-Armstrong, as they hung on for a high-scoring 9-8 victory.

Matthew Boyd made the start for the home team and gave up a two-run homer to Rowdy Tellez in the top of the 2nd inning. The Cubs evened the score in the bottom of the frame when Crow-Armstrong and Miguel Amaya hit back-to-back solo shots off of Seattle pitcher Logan Gilbert.
