The Cubs welcomed their “rivals” from the South Side to Sloan Park on Friday in a game that featured Patrick Hughes on the radio coverage. The home team’s offense struggled for a second consecutive day and the White Sox were able to take home a victory.
Jon Lester took the mound and had his control locked in a big way, hitting his spots and notching six strikeouts in less than three innings. His only real blemish came when Luis Robert doubled against him in the 2nd to put the Sox up 1-0. José Abreu had the big blow with a two-run homer against Dan Winkler in the 4th inning.
