The Cubs were hoping for another win after taking home the first game of their series against the Diamondbacks on Thursday night. Unfortunately, Jameson Taillon struggled, and Chicago nemesis Eugenio Suárez blasted a pair of home runs to lead Arizona to a comfortable victory Friday.
The North Siders struck first in the top of the 2nd inning when Pete Crow-Armstrong hit an RBI double. They stranded two runners on second and third, leading 1-0 after the frame. In the bottom half of the inning, Suárez punished a Taillon cutter that hung in the middle of the zone, launching a two-run home run that put the D-Backs ahead 2-1.
