The Cubs had most of their regulars back in the lineup when they battled the Rockies at Sloan Park Saturday afternoon. Jameson Taillon had a rough day that Chicago could not overcome despite a big performance from Seiya Suzuki.
The left fielder put the North Siders on the board in the top of the 1st inning with a solo homer off of Austin Gomber. Colorado got the lead in the following frame via an RBI double by Adael Amador. Hunter Goodman took Taillon deep for a two-run dinger in the 3rd to put the road team ahead 4-1.
