The Cubs and Diamondbacks played at Sloan Park Tuesday night as spring training heads into the final stretch. There wasn’t much to report for Chicago as Arizona used one big inning to take home the win.
Kyle Hendricks got the start and breezed through the first four frames with no trouble. The Cubs failed to do anything of their own, even with D-backs starter Eduardo Rodriguez being forced to leave the game with an injury before the 2nd inning.
Hendricks ran out of steam in the 5th and Arizona pounced, scoring four runs with back-to-back doubles from Geraldo Perdomo and Lourdes Gurriel Jr.
