The Cubs have signed free agent right-handed relief pitcher Alex Wilson to a minor league deal, according to Robert Murray of The Athletic. Terms have not been released, but the deal is pending a physical.
Wilson had been pitching for San Antonio, the Triple-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers, before Milwaukee released him on Saturday. Wilson had been in the minors since a poor early season start for the Brewers, where he gave up 12 runs in 11 1⁄3 innings over 13 relief appearances in April.
