Chicago Cubs News: Cubs lose home opener; light’s out pen

Well, the good news. The Chicago Cubs scored five runs on 10 hits. A very solid game on the offense. But when it came to pitching, it wasn’t as good. Tyler Chatwood gave up five runs in five innings while Mike Montgomery allowed a three-run home run to Francisco Cervelli as the Cubs allowed eight runs on 12 hits as the Cubs fell to the Pirates, 8-5. Again, folks. Relax. We’re 11 games into the season, and people are trying to blow this team up.

The Cubs’ bullpen has been lights out–even with the home run allowed yesterday.
