The Iowa Cubs outlasted the Omaha Storm Chasers (Royals), 6-5 in 12 innings. The win was Iowa’s fourth-straight over Omaha.
Joe Biagini started and allowed three runs on six hits over six innings. Two of those six hits were solo home runs. Biagini struck out seven and walked no one.
Blake Whitney threw one scoreless inning before Jason Adam made his first appearance for Iowa since suffering a freak injury during batting practice back in May. Adam retired the side in order, striking out two.
