Starter Duane Underwood Jr. allowed four runs on three hits over 5.2 innings. However, only one of the four runs was earned. Dewees walked three and struck out six.
Tim Collins pitched the bottom of the tenth inning and while he blew the save, he got the win when Iowa struck for four runs in the top of the eleventh. Collins gave up one unearned run on no hits and one intentional walk. He struck out one.
