The Iowa Cubs brought the heavens down on the Omaha Storm Chasers (Royals), 16-1.
Starter Kohl Stewart gave up a solo home run in the second inning but otherwise cruised to an easy win. Stewart pitched five innings and allowed one run on five hits. He struck out five and walked one.
The I-Cubs hit five home runs this afternoon and left fielder Patrick Wisdom cranked two of them. Wisdom hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the first inning and later smashed a three-run homer in the fourth.
