The Tennessee Smokies exiled the Birmingham Barons (White Sox), 7-3.
Starter Cory Abbott got the win after allowing two runs on just four hits over six innings. Abbott stuck out four and walked one.
The Smokies blew this game open with a five-run sixth inning. The big blow in the inning was a two-run home run by left fielder Charcer Burks, which was his first of the season. Burks was 1 for 4.
Shortstop Vimael Machin was 2 for 4 with one RBI and two runs scored.
