The Iowa Cubs carried out the San Antonio Missions (Brewers), 12-2. It was Iowa’s fifth-straight win.
Starter Trevor Clifton got the win after giving up just one run on four hits over five innings. Clifton struck out two and walked seven. Clifton also had an RBI single as part of a seven-run third inning in which the first nine I-Cubs batters all reached base by a hit or a walk.
First baseman Jim Adduci connected with a solo home run in the top of the first inning, his ninth this season.
