It was Adbert Alzolay’s turn in the I-Cubs rotation and he was a no-show. So the Cubs promoted Jeffrey Passantino from Myrtle Beach to make the start. Passantino gave up just one run on four hits over four innings. Passantino struck out six and walked one. Looks like Alzolay is in danger of losing his spot in the I-Cubs rotation.
Craig Brooks pitched two perfect innings got the win because Passantino didn’t go five. Brooks struck out two.
James Norwood also threw two perfect innings of relief, striking out three.
