The Cubs system got swept again today. They really need to break that habit.
Iowa Cubs
The Iowa Cubs were all wet against the Omaha Storm Chasers (Royals), 8-6 in a game that ironically ended after six-and-a-half innings because of rain. Looks like Omaha caught the storm.
Mike Hauschild started and got knocked around for eight runs on seven hits over 3.2 innings. However, only three of the eight runs were earned as Omaha scored five two-out runs in the third inning after an error, thanks mainly to a grand slam that Anderson Miller hit after the error that extended the inning.
