The Iowa Cubs calmed the waters of the Omaha Storm Chasers (Royals), 2-0. The win snaps Iowa’s nine-game losing streak and Omaha’s nine-game winning streak.
Alec Mills turned in a strong rehab performance tonight, throwing six scoreless innings and allowing just two hits. Mills struck out four and walked one. He threw 60 pitches and 44 were strikes.
The win went to Kyle Ryan with two innings of no-run, no-hit relief.
