Colin Rea had his first really bad start of the season, giving up five runs on eight hits over four innings. Two of the hits were solo home runs. Rea walked three and struck out five.
Pedro Strop pitched the bottom of the fifth inning and got the win after Iowa scored three times in the top of the sixth. He gave up a one out walk, but no other baserunners. He struck out one. Strop threw 14 pitches, seven for strikes.
Rowan Wick pitched the bottom of the ninth and got the save.
