The Chicago Cubs foiled the San Antonio Missions (Brewers), 5-4.
Tyson Miller started and didn’t make it out of the first inning. Miller allowed two runs on three hits over two-thirds of an inning. He walked three batters and did not strike out any of them.
Five relief pitchers took the game the rest of the way. Give some credit to Dillon Maples for keeping Iowa in the game. He pitched two innings of relief without allowing a hit or a run. Maples only walked one and he struck out four.
