The Iowa Cubs clipped the wings of the Memphis Redbirds (Cardinals), 4-3.
Connor Noland couldn’t have asked for a better Triple-A debut. Noland tossed five scoreless innings, giving up three hits and getting the win. Noland walked one and struck out two.
Daniel Palencia pitched the ninth and got the save, but not before allowing a run on one hit and two walks. Palencia struck out three.
First baseman BJ Murray Jr. hit a three-run home run in the top of the first inning and the I-Cubs never looked back.
