The Cubs acquired third baseman Kevin Padlo in a trade with the Kansas City Royals and assigned him to Triple-A Iowa. I assume Padlo was acquired for the ubiquitous “cash considerations.”
Catcher William Simoneit was promoted to Iowa from Double-A Tennessee. This move was required because catcher/UTIL player Bryce Windham retired. We wish Windham the best with whatever is next with him. He was always a fun player to watch. People tell me he’s a great guy as well.
