First night I haven’t watched (almost) any baseball this season, so you’ll have to forgive me. I do have a life outside of baseball. Barely.
The Iowa Cubs were pitch perfect against the Nashville Sounds (Rangers), 10-4.
Matt Swarmer gave up a three-run home run in the fourth inning, but other than that was fairly good in his first start and first win of the season. Swarmer allowed three runs on three hits over five innings. He struck out three and walked three. Swarmer also hit one batter.
Catcher Taylor Davis hit a two-run home run in the seventh inning.
