The Iowa Cubs lost to the Oklahoma City Dodgers 7-1. The loss drops Iowa to a record of 4-16, which is the second-worst record in all of the minor leagues. (Thanks, Greenville Drive of the South Atlantic League!)
Starter Michael Roth took the loss after allowing five runs over the first two innings: one in the first inning and four in the second. Roth gave up seven hits. He walked three and struck out three.
Catcher Taylor Davis has been one of the few bright spots for Iowa this year. Tonight he was 2 for 3 with a walk and he scored one run.
