There’ll be no in-depth look at today’s matchup because, frankly, I’m not happy with the way the Cubs have played lately and it doesn’t even seem to matter who they’re facing. Depleted roster or no, scratching out just one run at a time against guys who’ve been hammered by pretty much everyone else just isn’t going to work. The Cubs are still in a great place, all things considered, it’s just frustrating and I’ve got a whole lot else to worry about today.
Jameson Taillon has looked great since returning from a stiff back in spring training, so it should just be a matter of providing him with enough support to make his start matter.
