Baseball is a magical thing – a sport that usually brings everything full circle at some point. We saw it just recently after Gerrit Cole signed the most significant free-agent contract for a pitcher in history, signing with the New York Yankees.
At Cole’s introductory press conference, there was a beautiful moment he shared from his childhood days, growing up a fan of the Yankees. Cole broke out a sign that day, a sign he still had from when the right-hander was a kid attending the 2001 World Series, a symbol that displayed his affinity for the Bronx Bombers.
