It’s been almost 20 days since the Chicago Cubs traded away infielder Starlin Castro to the New York Yankees that in the end, would only leave Adam Warren as the only player received.
Castro wasn’t the only infielder involved in the deal between the two clubs. Brendan Ryan was revealed as the player to be named later, only to be released by the organization, resulting in Edgar Olmos claiming the final 40-man spot.
Now, nobody expected this trade to go down and I, personally, thought outfielders Brett Gardner or Jacoby Ellsbury were going to be Theo Epstein’s targets.
