Chicago Cubs‘ GM Jed Hoyer took it as “good” news that it wasn’t any worse. Top prospect Eloy Jimenez found out the MRI showed no structural damage to his right shoulder. But he did have a bone bruise that will require him to rest for about three weeks.
After an errant throw–into the stands behind the dugout–the Cubs thought they should have Jimenez checked out. It’s possible the throw took an already growing issue and made it worse. But for as well as he played this spring the Cubs will take this news over the other possibilities.
