CHICAGO -- When Anthony Rizzo spoke, Tyler Chatwood listened and executed a perfectly timed double play to spark the Cubs to a 7-2 victory over the Cardinals on Saturday in the first game of a day-night doubleheader at Wrigley Field.
The game was tied at 1 when the Cardinals loaded the bases with one out in the fifth against Chatwood. Paul DeJong was up, and Rizzo went to the mound.
"He just told me, 'Hey, you're going to get a 6-4-3 double play right now and then we're going to score some runs next inning, so here you go,'" Chatwood said of Rizzo's message.
