Carl Edwards Jr. is off to a horrific start to 2019. He’s appeared in four games, faced 13 batters and allowed eight of them to reach base (three hits, five walks), and the results are a 32.40 ERA, 4.800 (!) WHIP and 25.18. FIP.
He’s a mess, perhaps due to the change he made in his motion, which he was then told — right after the regular season began — was illegal.
Now, CJ will get to work on what’s wrong with him in Triple-A:
There is, at this time, no word on who’s being recalled to replace him.
