The longstanding rivalry between the Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals has been played out on the field, in free agency and now in T-shirts.
The Cubs have adopted the simple mantra "Try Not To Suck" for this season, however shirts emblazoned with the words were banned this week at the Cardinals' Busch Stadium as the two teams played their first of six series against each other this year.
Cubs manager Joe Maddon, whose use of the phrase last season led to the shirts being created this season, said he was informed of the ban by a fan who told Maddon an usher requested the shirt not be displayed.
