Can baseball stay safe from COVID-19 and continue its season?

Monday, the Miami Marlins had their season “paused.” They’ll go through Sunday without playing again, and thus through the first 10 days of the shortened 2020 season, they’ll have played just three games. And:

Another Marlins player has tested positive for COVID-19, sources tell The Athletic. Only positive result in most recent tests. Brings team total to 16 players and two coaches.

The Phillies, who were supposed to play the Yankees this week, will instead also be idle, as they might have been exposed to the virus in their series against the Marlins over the weekend.
