Brewers 1, Cubs 0: You can’t win if you don’t score

The Cubs got a magnificent start from Jameson Taillon.

The Cubs got good bullpen work, yet again.

And it all meant nothing, literally, because the Cubs could not score a run and lost 1-0 to the Brewers on a rainy Tuesday at Wrigley Field.

It rained, hard, for a while and held up the start of the game for an hour and 24 minutes. When play began, Taillon got in trouble with a couple of walks, but got out of the first inning with a double play.

The Cubs, meanwhile, were doing their usual “let’s leave guys on base with RISP” thing, loading the bases in the second with a pair of singles by Dansby Swanson and Miguel Amaya and a walk drawn by Pete Crow-Armstrong, but nope.
