CHICAGO -- Daniel Murphy (Murph) has provided a spark since joining the Cubs, but on Sunday afternoon, rookie David Bote (Boat) and Kyle Schwarber (Schwarbs) provided the power.
Bote smacked a two-run homer over the left-field bleachers and onto Waveland Avenue and Schwarber hit a two-run shot to back Kyle Hendricks (Hendo) and lead the Cubs to a 9-0 victory over the Reds to complete a sweep of the four-game series at Wrigley Field. With the win, the Cubs (76-53) are now a season-high 23 games over .500.
Jason Heyward (J-Hey) had four hits and two RBIs for the Cubs, who are 5-0 since Murphy was acquired from the Nationals and inserted into the leadoff spot.
