Willson Contreras has career day at the plate in Cubs 11-2 win over the White Sox
Willson Contreras had a day he will not soon forget. On his bobblehead day, Contreras supplied a majority of the Cubs offense in the first game of the season against the White Sox. Willy went 4-for-5 with two home runs, including a first inning Grand Slam, two doubles and collected seven RBI. And he made a tremendous defensive play that shut down the Sox when the game was in question.
With the Cubs leading 1-0 in the first inning, Contreras launched the second slam of his career and gave his battery mate a little breathing room.
